Admittance

McKnightEnterprises.org

To admit is to confess, come clean. Acknowledge, disclose, divulge, declare, state, let know or give permission to enter.

We all have to go through this process to get our healing. When I asked Jesus what was my problem, He did to me as He did to the lame man by the pool. (John 5) He showed me my issues and then asked me, “Would you like to be healed?” But, I had to first admit I had a problem. I had to see the problem myself before He could heal it so I would know what the problem was and how to avoid the problem returning.

When Jesus met the man by the Pool of Bethesda, He made the man acknowledge he had been sitting there for years with the same old problem. Then Jesus asked the man for permission to enter into his situation and heal it. Like the man at the pool, I now had Jesus’ attention. He wasn’t accepting any excuses for me staying where I was. I now had to acknowledge it was time to get up and move on.

When you have to go to the hospital and be admitted, you have to tell them everything. Where do you live? How long have you lived there? What is your issue? How long have you had this issue? Your family history? What are your symptoms? Who is paying for this? Who do we call if something goes wrong? Any beneficiaries? Who would benefit from your death? Closest kin? You must give them any and all information they may need. You may end up talking to several people before you actually see the real professionals with the skills to heal. There is no more privacy now. You have been asked the same questions so many times. You're just tired of the problem and want it to go away now.

So, after admitting your issues to all those in that office you have to go repeat it to the interns, and then a nurse, and then the doctor. I remember one time having a room full of interns looking at me. For some reason, I was the guinea pig and I wasn't asked … just told, “There will be a team of interns observing your examination today.” Ah, Excuse me? But God does that too. Sometimes your private issues and pain are put on public display so others can learn from you.

There are some things God will keep private but that is His call. Be sure to let the real professional prescribe the correct procedures and medications. Even after seeing the interns and the nurses, you still need to see the doctor because the doctor is the only one authorized to prescribe the correct treatment for your situation.
