Are You Qualified for a RAISE?

What qualifies you for a RAISE from God? How did David qualify for promotion, for a RAISE from God? Through his humility … he gave God something to work with. The way up to God’s promotion, is down. Most times promotion comes with a raise. With God, we seem to get the raise first, but it’s not the kind of raise one would expect.
So, what does a raise or to raise mean?
· to rise or increase in height
· to hike or increase wages
· to elevate or lift higher
· to go up
· to bring up
· to move up
· to express or verbalize
· to grow
Let’s do a word play on the word RAISE … an acronym to help us understand God’s ways of promotion.
RAISE
R = Rejection
A = Abandonment/Accusations
I = Isolation
S = Separation/Suffering
E = Elevation
After you go through rejection, abandonment, accusations, isolation, separation, suffering … then God elevates you. God seems to take you down before He brings you up. He wants you to stay up, so He does this deep cleansing first to qualify you for promotion and a RAISE!
And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. (1 Peter 5:10)
