Biblical Transportation

McKnightEnterprises.org

In Bible days, animals were used to transport leaders to their assignments.

We will look at the Donkey, the Lead Horse, and the War Horse. Three different means of transportation with three different purposes and capacities of doing do.

The Donkey, Burden Bearer

Training a donkey relies upon showing them, by words and action, that they can trust you to protect them from harm. You cannot stronghold a donkey. The donkey may comply for the moment but as soon as they can get free, they will break away and run off. Speaking kindly and handling gently will gain their trust.

The Lead Horse, the Administrator

The lead horse took the warrior to the battle, so the war horse would not wear itself out before it got to its destination and purpose. In some cultures, warriors would travel to battle riding a lighter horse of greater speed and endurance. Pacing itself and then switch to a heavier horse, with greater weight-carrying capacity. The lead horse knows the way but stays under the authority of the rider.

The War Horse, Full of Passion and Purpose.

The War Horse has one thing on its mind. Attack and kill. No mercy. Eyes blazing, set like a flint, no turning to right or the left. Whatever is in the way will be ran completely over.

Who and how are you training people to lead? Know your assignment and who you are called to train and lead.

Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a young ass. Never had it been ridden before. It was so gentle, kind, young, and innocent. Representing the rider, the greatest King,

At the noise of the stamping of the feet of his war horses, at the rushing of his carriages and the thunder of his wheels, fathers will give no thought to their children, because their hands are feeble. (Jeremiah 47:3)
