Eve started out as a helpmeet for Adam. God said that Adam should not be alone. So, she started out as a co-laborer in the garden. Adam later called her name Eve for she was the mother of all living things. Eve was no ordinary housewife! Her responsibility was as Adams. They were in unison and complete harmony. Together, they were managing the garden and all its affairs. Adam and Eve were simply enjoying life and partaking of God's provisions.
There was peace in the valley … so far. It wasn’t until Eve began entertaining the voice of another that her role was in jeopardy. Motherhood was being introduced and she was about to take on a new duty. Due to her disobedience, birthing would be induced with pain! Until then no one really knew what was meant by the struggle or fight that would occur when it came to bearing children. It was a spiritual fight only God and Satan knew of. The enmity placed between the woman and serpent would be forever! The hate and hostility and fight for human lives would last until the death of each seed birthed into the earth. The devil and the woman would be in a fight to the finish! Women could never trust his voice again. The tug of war for a seed would start with the sabotage of conception all the way to the delivery date. Why all the laws about birthing? Read your Bible. Life always was and will be important to God.
Medical science teaches us that women are born with millions of eggs and men are born with billions of sperm. That alone speaks of the miracle of conception since usually only one child is born at a time. Some get multiple births other ways but to get that one child is really miraculous! Maybe now you will understand when you hear the "You are one in a million" statement. It will take on a new meaning when you really realize you are the chosen one! You were chosen and inside of you a seed has been chosen for you to birth. It may take a lifetime for some to discover the seed within. Our job is to make sure children hear and understand their purpose in life. All life is a gift.
