King Nebuchadnezzar was a pagan leader who thought nothing about touching holy vessels. He mandated specific requirements for those who were chosen to serve in his palace. He picked God’s choice leaders with the intent of changing their language, culture, and belief system.
Sadly, there are leaders like this today. Some people choose to follow leadership knowing they are being led in error. Others chose to serve a leader that makes them feel captive instead of someone with the potential to lead. Then, there are those like Daniel who’ve been assigned from the Lord to serve a difficult leader in a place of captivity but remaining free.
You will lose your authentic identity when you allow an individual to reshape you into what they want. Don’t let anyone cause you to change what God created you to be.
