Facing Our Fears

McKnightEnterprises.org

Mistakes happen, offenses happen, injuries occur. How they are handled will determine whether the injured can thrive after they survive the attack.

Secrets cause wounds too. When one is asked to act as if something isn't true or didn't happen, their personal integrity and honesty are compromised. If no one else, themselves. To deny yourself the truth is worse than denying others. When one is asked to keep a secret, they are being asked to imprison themselves, most likely to avoid shame or embarrassment of another. Some keep secrets to protect themselves as well, but ultimately secrets are kept to avoid being judged by another … it’s all about saving face.

Why have we allowed others to have so much power over us? Why do we care what others think of us to the point we lie, camouflage the truth, or outright deny it? What is the fear in facing our fear? Is it the words that will wound us again if we are harshly judged for our mistake or blunder?

Don't be afraid and stay in the dark! Come into the Light. The truth that will set you free!
