When a famine hits America it causes shortages of provisions in many ways. Families begin experiencing not having the basic necessities needed to survive.
Unfortunately for many, this means no money, no food, and not having a place to live. This crisis the world calls recession breeds homeless and hopeless people everywhere. They are left devastated, depleted, abandoned, and bankrupt. Everyone looks for an answer to the four-letter word ‘lack.’ People shift their money, jobs, family, and spiritual preference after their churches close and cannot offer help. Families split due to increasing pressure in trying to provide for the necessities.
This famine affects the entire world. Hopelessness fills the atmosphere from one corner of the earth to the other. Even the weather becomes adverse which heightens all of the commotions. Everybody saw the darkness and felt the change in the economy. No one can escape this tragedy, nor have the answer on how to stop their world from tumbling down. The only option is to try to avoid being caught under the rubble of despair.
It is only with God's help our world can be rebuilt. Without Him it is impossible. He gives us the courage to start building from nothing, as we look death in the face watching family members fade away one by one. It takes faith to believe when all you want to do is find a corner somewhere and just live out your days. It is God who holds your mind, body, and spirit together and commands the light to come through your darkness.
As we prepare for what the world calls a famine, or in this time of loss, don't lose your faith.
