Finding Focus Again

When you come out of a dark place or wake up from sleeping, it takes a minute or two to focus your eyes and get your vision straight. We are coming out of a dark and dormant season where we need to refocus our vision. We are coming out of a ‘what just happened’ event that we had nothing to do with. Between the pandemic, racial unrest, social demands, and being locked up and locked in, many are having a hard time deciding what to do next. Normal has left the earth.
What are you focusing on? In this season, it would be great if you stop, look, and listen before you go out into the street. Looking is key to moving forward.
Looking with your mind as well as your natural sight. Think it out. Pray it out. Get some counsel.
As a man thinks, he will become.
People who focus on what they want, usually get what they want. Wherever your mind is will be the primary area that you will use your talents on, your abilities on, and even your emotions on. What do you love? Who do you love?
Don’t focus on the past in order to fulfill the present or future. Change what needs to be changed. The opposite of fear is complacency … just don’t do anything.
If it didn’t work yesterday and you have made any changes, it won't work today. Even Jesus told Peter to try on the other side of the boat!
Talk less and do more. Talk just enough to get started. Too much talking can kill the vision. Counseling and talking are two different things.
What do you know for sure? Those are the principles you can build on.
You will only trust in what you deem as security. Your faith is connected to what you know for sure.
God is all-knowing, all-seeing. So, start by asking Him … “What do you see for my life?” Then FOCUS!
