It is important to know who you are, what you believe, and in WHOM you believe. You need to know YOU, and know WHO! If you don't, you will believe the opinions of others, when what truly matters is how you see yourself. Do you see yourself as God sees you? Fearfully and wonderfully made.
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. (1 Peter 2:9)
It is your beliefs that become your view on life, your morals, your habits, your character, your truths, your love, your passions, and your core values. Knowing yourself as an individual helps you discover what makes you happy, sad, delightful, and what you are good at doing to help others. It reveals the true authentic you!
Purpose is the reason for existing and why we were created. It is the reason for living fully until you die. It is a movement that, when fulfilled, exists long after you’re gone.
Purpose is not always recognized easily. It’s after much toiling and suffering that it is revealed. Sometimes, after many years of lessons, cycles of chaos, and many generations of following wrong leadership, it is discovered. Purpose comes with pain. It's like a pregnancy; within a process of time, it yields to a delivery date.
God chose you to be the receiver, carrier, and deliverer of your purpose. No one can do it for you. Each of us has to walk it out individually. Although many will guide, coach, and help identify your purpose, you alone will give it life … because it is your life! Through sacrifice and suffering, you will obtain it. Even Christ suffered for the purpose set before Him. It's the driving force that keeps you moving forward and not turning back.
Jesus was a finisher! So, we'll see you at the finish line!!
