Forgiveness

A woman was brought to court and thrown at Jesus’ feet to condemn her for committing adultery. This was not done privately. No, they decided to wait to show her in front of everyone in the Church. They had no sympathy for this woman at all. Jesus did not pay attention to the 9-1-1 sirens these men arrived with. It was not an emergency call to Him. He was not moved by their religious antics, therefore, His body language never shifted. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear them. He used the earth as His chalkboard, while He was teaching the lesson.
What the men didn’t know was that Jesus was about to flip the script as He privately called them out. He introduced love and forgiveness towards the woman, when these men wanted her death. Jesus said, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” No one dared to throw a rock as an act of their innocence. When they looked at each other, they saw SIN written in capital letters on each of their foreheads. Slowly, they walked away disappointed and embarrassed.
Jesus said, “Woman where are your accusers, where are the witnesses to your crime?” She replied, “They are gone. I have none.” He said to her, “Go and sin no more.” This is how Jesus handles us so we should do the same handling others. one of His last words on the Cross, 'FATHER FORGIVE THEM, THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY DO." If He can forgive all that was done to Him … so can we.
