We must use the life of Jesus as the map to lead us to our God-given purpose and strategy. Jesus came in human form, yet, He was divine. He wanted to feel everything we feel so He could fulfill his purpose. He is a classic example of one who was rejected from his birth, yet he remained faithful to God despite all the hurt and rejection He suffered from his family to His disciples to the Church … Jesus remained faithful to God. Once Jesus saw His purpose from the beginning to end, He purposed to finish His course.
God will show you purpose if you earnestly pray to Him. He will reward them that seek Him:
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. (Matthew 7:7)
You may not understand it all now and if you don’t live to see your purpose in its completion, despite all the hurts and disappointments do your best to remain faithful to your call and your God.
Dr. Martin Luther King did not live to see his dream, but he told us all about it. He wrote his vision and explained it so eloquently that we saw his vision for Him. He was a sacrifice, wounded as Jesus was, but he too saw a bigger purpose. Pray and ask God to help you survive any and all attacks you may encounter with the church and the world, so you will see the bigger purpose.
Stay on course. Follow the leader. Use God’s GPS!
