No Room at the Inn

Handling Rejection

From the beginning of Jesus' life, He heard the words “No room.” No place, no opportunity, no space, not here! He hadn’t even opened His little eyes or His little mouth to cry yet and already the opposition had started. His mother, Mary, was at her fullness of time and even in her final hours, the enemy of her soul was still echoing ”no room” to her as well. Mary had a purpose too. Jesus was her purpose. Nobody cared enough to make room for her in the inn, but God was in charge and He provided a place for His Son.

This should help us all to know that despite every NO, God has a YES! The will of God for our life shall come to pass. No devil in hell can stop it and no demon on earth can block it. God will prepare a room for you. Your gift will make a room for you. Jesus was Mary’s gift, so God prepared a room for her.

It wasn’t the finest inn in the city. It turned out to be a stable area underground. If you ever visit Israel and visit Bethlehem, there is a place they believe to be the stable area where Jesus was born. It looks like the rooms were hewn from a large stone area or dug up from underground. Nothing like the fancy stable we put out at Christmas with all the lights and accessories, just some straw, hay, and a lot of stinky animals. Jesus the Son of God, The Holy Thing Mary was carrying arrived in an unexpected, uncelebrated way and the innkeeper rejected Him. He was just a baby!

So, don't be discouraged when you are rejected, No one knows what you are carrying … but GOD does and He will make a room for you. Actually, He already has, so just keep going until you get your yes! The world is waiting to meet your baby!
