Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice. (I Samuel 15:22-23)
God knows what is best. He knows that the best offering we can give to God is our obedience. He expected obedience and received obedience from His Son, Jesus.
Continual disobedience will only disqualify us from our position. We must never take God’s authority lightly. Whether His heavenly or earthly delegated authority, we must obey Him at all costs or there will be a cost to pay.
King Saul was dismissed and dethroned by God. Saul allowed his disobedience to self-sabotage himself. Saul was so stuck on himself and out of order, he reached for the Man of God and He tore Samuel’s garment. What was Saul thinking when he reached to put his hand on God's anointed? Samuel’s priestly garment represented his mantle of authority given by God.
Our outcome in what we face in life is contingent on our obedience to God. We will receive favor from the Father if we favor Him.
If you honor God by obeying His Word, He will honor you by blessing and supporting you on your life's journey.
