Recovery, Restoration, and Retrieval

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. (Romans 8: 29)


Predestined means something is certain to occur or is inevitable. The theological definition of predestined is to foreordain or elect by divine will or decree.


What we are learning from the Holy Bible is that our future is really our past. Remember, He made us before we were formed in our mother’s womb. He had already decided who and what we would be before we left the womb to enter the door called life.


Sometimes we are not prepared for some of the losses that occur in life. Betrayal, death, divorce, loss of income, homelessness, or health issues. When these occur, these occurrences seem to take a piece of who we are.


Sometimes when you are in the process of recovering all, you may have to go back to the beginning to recover yourself.


Our history is important … not to go back, but to help us figure out how we got where we are. Regardless of it all, God will never leave you. This may seem hard to believe but it all comes together in the end. The promises are still yours, go get them!!


And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)
