Shifting Seasons Strategically

McKnightEnterprises.org

It's September, it’s fall. Where did the year go? Oh, my goodness, it’s time to shift. Kids heading back to school, leaves have changed, and weather has changed … depending on where you live.

Don't get stranded in a season because you are comfortable and scared to move. Chaos is never a  good season to live in! Get out, get out if you can! There's a door run for it!  Move and don't blame anyone, especially God.

Some of the seasons of being stranded were of our doing because we overrode God’s will. Some of us got stranded in bad marriages, financial struggles, single-hood, family problems, addictions, and making career or location moves. Some people end up marrying the wrong person … their biological clock was ticking and the sound of the clock was louder than God’s “Wait.” So, single people, before you make a bad choice, ask God to take the battery out of your clock.

We make choices out of fear of running out of time. Know and how to use time appropriately. Pray because God is time and He is moving the pieces on your chess board. God’s Word tells us not to be consumed with the cares or riches of this world. It also says, “Be careful or anxious for nothing, but with prayer and thanksgiving make your requests known to God.” (Philippians 4:6)

God is so careful not to give us anything before His right time. He doesn’t want us to handle what He has proposed the wrong way. What He places in our hands to do, must be done for His glory, not ours. We have to learn to be faithful over the few things before we become ruler over many things. Embrace His shift but stay in His Flow. Let wisdom carry you, not fear or time. His Vision is the vision for your next. Stay close to your Father.
