To be stranded is to be trapped, marooned, cut off, left high and dry, stuck, abandoned, discarded, forsaken, derelict, vacant, dumped, neglected, deserted, or to be ditched. Have you ever experienced or felt any of these feelings?
While I am sitting in the airport writing this, I am on hold. I am waiting for another plane to arrive that has been delayed. After the plane arrives, I will have to wait for the passengers to deplane and the plane to be cleaned [sanctified] before it can take me to the next leg of my journey. God is in everything, even in the waiting seasons of our lives. So here I sit and wait for my turn to board the plane.
So many things in my life did not turn out the way I expected them to, or had visualized in my mind. No one could have made me believe that I would be experiencing the things that I have, or convince me of the outcome of my life’s encounters. After all, I am a Christian and things are supposed to be different now. Abundant living, I was told. Years later, after being divorced and dismissed from a ministry, I have learned that Christians will have tests of lack just like everyone else. Our only consolation is that we have a God to help us to get through them.
I have also learned that the more knowledge you are given, the more God requires you to carry out your assignment in life. Once you have knowledge about your purpose it will never release you to go back to being average again. You are now Stranded in His Sovereignty.
When you said “yes” it went straight to the Throne of God. Now, the only way out is to do it His way because He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Are you ready? Well, come aboard!!
