The Flow of Momentum, Faithful Friends

McKnightEnterprises.org

It is necessary to keep your momentum constant to finish well. Momentum is the force that will thrust you forward, but you must surround yourself with those who will keep you afloat versus those who will weigh you down. If faith comes by hearing God's Word then doubt can come from hearing man's woes. The words of Job’s friends almost took him under during his season. They thought he was going through because of hidden sin, but actually, it was Job’s hidden strength that surfaced.

Have you ever experienced that? While you are trying to figure it all out, someone comes along asking you questions and accusing you of doing wrong?

You need people around you who quietly wait it out while you walk it out. The kind of friend Ruth was to Naomi. She was in-tuned to Naomi’s flow and knew the type of support she needed. What type of ‘flow friend’ are you?

Do you question the flow, go with the flow, fight the flow, or create waves in the flow? Do you understand when God is reversing or changing the flow, shifting the flow, or recalibrating the flow?

In the testing of your faith, you can’t let your passion and desires die. Don’t grow weary in well-doing and disconnect from working the vision. Let your inner circle help you survive the season. And, for those who do not have the ability to stay with you in your long season, let them go. Thank them for what they contributed and head on back to wholeness, to the house of bread. Remain with those who know and love you regardless of your present state. Stay covered, connected, and passionate about the things of God.
