To everything there is a season. What season are you in and what do you do from here?

I have learned that I can only talk about what I know about. I can add my opinion based on information or experience. Well, my experience gives me a green light to speak my truth … even if it is not yours. We all have come from different places which puts us in different places. I was an Army Brat, as we choose to call ourselves, where as other friends grew up on farms or were city kids. Each of our life experiences will direct us in the way we go and the moves we take, again landing us in different places. As an Army Brat, I traveled all over, so I have no fear traveling as a missionary or for leisure. I love culture, history, seeing the world, and meeting different people.

Now switching to my Christian journey, this rule applies as well. There was Bible knowledge and there was life experience. For most, once hearing and learning how the Christian journey was written to be one way, but many times did not play out so beautifully and eloquently written. It had to be experienced for you personally to connect with the Scriptures. Sometimes, others got it or experienced it before or after you. Each person's journey is their own. Your journey may not be like your mothers, based on the season or time. Your journey may not be like your siblings or your neighbor, based on your time or season. The Bible became a guide for me. In the real walk of life, you need to prepare for disruptions, distractions, delays, and demons.

God gave us a promise. The first promises of life and life more abundantly. We are born with everything we need. Some parents start teaching and training immediately, and as a result raise a brain child or a genius. If that parent sees that seed and waters and cultivates it, it will grow. In my personal life, I had teachers telling me they saw something special about me. As God put the right ones in my life, my teaching gift has developed to this day. I hunger for the why even now. I cannot just do a thing without a purpose or connection. Being present is more meaningful than just being here.

Make it all count and make sense of your life. Enjoy and embrace this gift called life.
