The Pain of Purpose

McKnightEnterprises.org

We must use the life of Jesus as the map to lead us to our God-given purpose. He came in human form yet He was divine. He wanted to feel everything we did so He could fulfill His purpose. He is a classic example of one who was rejected from birth, yet he remained faithful to God despite of all the hurt and rejection He suffered. Even though He was rejected by some family, some disciples, some of the Church, Jesus remained faithful to God. Once Jesus saw His purpose from the beginning to end, He purposed to finish His course.

Jesus had many friends. He had very close ones who ate with him, slept where He slept, and were up close and personal. They saw His secrets. They saw Him naked, yet in His hour of need, no one stood with Him. That had to hurt. Those who said I’ll die for you were over in a corner cursing saying they didn’t know Him. Now, if Jesus can survive such hurt, we can too. He was and still is our perfect example of the forgiveness that leads to healing. If you don’t allow bitterness to destroy or distract you, you too will be able to look at your cross, (purpose) and despite the wounds, still do it all for the glory of God.

God will show you purpose if you earnestly pray to Him. He will reward those that seek Him. Ask and it shall be given, Seek and ye shall find, Knock and the door shall be opened. You may not understand it all now. If you don’t see your purpose to its completion, despite all the hurts and disappointments, do your best to remain faithful to your call and your God.
