Forgiveness is a spiritual salve. Forgiveness is the balm we put on the wounds and it heals all manner of diseases. It will also protect the wounds from becoming infected and becoming bitterness to the bones. Jesus is that healing balm. A pre-paid, prescribed medication, free to one and all, no health insurance needed. The only requirement is that you come and ask for it.
Many times, when Jesus healed the sick, He said, "Thy sins are forgiven," and the sick got up and walked. Jesus is our perfect example. It is because of His powerful example that we can forgive. As He hung on the cross dying, He said, "Father forgive them. They don’t know what they’re doing.” Can we say that we are totally innocent and have done no wrong? The only sin Jesus had on Him was our sins. He took on the sin of the world and died. And in those final minutes, He asked God for forgiveness for man. He left the earth a free man. You can be free too. Mind, body, and spirit … take control and walk in complete freedom.
