Many times, during our personal prison experiences when things are not making sense, we ask God, “Where are you in my life?” We do ‘God Checks’ especially in painful heart-rendering situations. Words create reality. What you speak, you will do. What you perceive, you will believe. The Bible says, “The power of life or death is in the tongue.” (Proverbs 18:21)
Words can also influence our perception and will cause us to act incorrectly. There are people who have been affected by words that were spoken to them as a child by someone who told them they would never be anything. The words remained stuck in their mind because they believed the lie. As they grew up, the same words or circumstances continued to appear with a different face and made it harder for them to believe in their destiny.
If your foundation is strong and built upon the rock of Jesus it will stand. The Word of God says Christ is our foundation and we are more than a conqueror through Him. We were made (created) to succeed. The word ‘made’ is past tense because it’s a done deal.
How we respond to unpleasant circumstances allows others to see if we really are a complainer representing ourselves or praising God with our focus on Him. If you are praising while working with a thankful heart, God will let those who are in authority know and promote you for His glory.
A positive attitude demands a positive result. Therefore, it is important to use the Word of God to scrub your memory clean and download a new program. If a window pops up reminding you of hurtful words just press the delete key. If you need technical support talk to the Holy Spirit. He is always on call and will help you out.
