The Woman With the Issue

And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could heal her. She came up behind Him and touched the edge of His cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped. (Luke 8:43-44)
She was in and on her cycle for 12 years. A constant continual flow of blood. No breaks, no time to rest, heal, and replenish her strength. She couldn't catch up. Blood is our life source. She was dying. Life is in the blood. Our life is in His Blood. She needed Him. She believed her healing was in the hem of His cloak. Just one touch … she'd be whole.
Her current situation, and all the taunting of the people, blocked her from being healed mind, body, and soul. She was a broken woman. Her situation got worse. She had spent (exhausted) all her resources, strength, and energy looking for any type of relief or remedy for her situation. This woman sold everything she had. She lost all. The only connection was her faith. She believed if she could touch Him, she’d be healed, restored, re-membered. It was a sin for her to touch anyone or anything while bleeding. She was considered unclean, contaminated and unclean.
What can wash away her sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. What can make her whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. Her body was telling her she was too tired, but her mind was telling her that she could make it. She kept moving forward one step at a time, rehearsing the stories she heard about Jesus’ healing others. She believed if Jesus could cleanse the lepers, certainly He could help her too. She wanted to touch anything that was touching Him. Silently the woman slipped out of the shadows and touched the hem that was the fringe of his garment. It was enough for her to receive a fringe benefit! [Psalms 68:19]
Jesus paid the price with His blood, and there was about to be a blood transfer, that would pay for her redemption in advance. She did not have to wait until Calvary. This woman pulled her redemption into the now! By faith, His power can heal us now!!
