Waiting on God’s Timing

God uses everything in every season to show us His sovereignty and Glory.
We’ve all challenged His decisions to keep us on hold in seasons we thought we’d lose our minds. Some of the seasons of being stranded were of our doing because we overrode God’s will. Some of us got stranded in bad marriages, financial struggles, single-hood, family problems, addictions, and making career or location moves. Some people end up marrying the wrong person because their biological clock was ticking and the sound of the clock was louder than God’s “Wait.” Read the marriage vows before you walk down the aisle. Wait and don't be in a hurry and miss what you are saying yes to in the next season.
Can God trust you like He did David and find you faithful to watch over the few sheep before He makes you the King over Israel? Can you wait in the wilderness season in order to fulfill your future ones? God has a set time, an appointed time on hold in heaven that will be released in due season.
Yes, even our promises are stranded in sovereignty. It’s all in His hands. What a wonderful and safe place to be. Our lives are all a part of this master plan. It will be worth the wait! He said, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
